Red Stags
New Zealand is famous for our exceptional Red Stags. We hunt several large, privately managed Game Estates for Fair Chase Red Stag hunts. We also hunt forested valleys for those that enjoy bush stalking and hunting clearings within the forest.

Tahr
Hunting Himalayan Tahr in New Zealand is, in my opinion, the best value free range mountain hunt available anywhere today. Southern Alps Trophy Hunting New Zealand have access to huge areas of managed private land for our Tahr hunts.

South Pacific Elk-Wapiti
We are fortunate to have a large herd of Wapiti on one of our Private Land hunting areas. Annually taking Bulls over 50 inches in the 340-500 SCI inch class. Rocky Mountain Elk were introduced to New Zealand in 1905. Since then they have evolved into a unique herd producing both typical and non-typical heads.

Fallow Buck
Hunting Fallow Buck is great fun! They inhabit the lower gentler hill country and, like Whitetail Deer, make the best of use of any available cover. These hunts are generally Spot & Stalk, although sometimes during the Rut we will stake out a known Rutting Pad and wait from cover.

Chamois Buck
Chamois are a challenging and very enjoyable species to hunt. Inhabiting some of the South Island’s most spectacular sub alpine areas, they favour sub alpine tussock basins and bush fringes all year round.
